15 Miles from Venezuela and Back

I thought it would be nice to share some of our instagram pics from our trip, I’m only a couple days behind…but they will still be well enjoyed. Hopefully, I will be back with a better low down on the trip.

Oh it takes me back, especially on this blustery winter day here in Illinois.

We boarded Sunday morning the 24th…

We flew over the Bahamas or Cuba…I can’t remember. The flight took us a little over 4 hours.

And this is what we arrived to…Paradise.

We got right to it. I mostly drank frozen Miami vices (strawberry daiquiri and pina colada mixed) and mudslides. Nathan mostly had frozen rum runners or mudslides as well. But that was only at the outside bars, so when we moved into the casino, I had to switch and rum punch it was…bottoms up!

This was our view each morning walking out of the hotel to the beach and pool. The wind blows in Aruba about 20-25 mph everyday, something we were used to.

And I can’t forget a thank you to Beck’s for the wonderful trip they provided Nathan and I and all the other fellow dealers and employees. It was truly wonderful.

We were so lucky to have such great entertainment at our Beck’s farewell dinner the last night. A marching band and dancers, almost like a Mardi Gras party. It was complete with the bright colors, beads, hats, masks and entertainment.

The costumes were so elaborate and beautiful. The presentation was so energetic and fun.

Our group also had a little fun with the leftover centerpieces as you can see.

Now that we are back in a routine and back to winter, this picture sums it up all pretty well. It’s all good…it really is and I am so thankful for these amazing opportunities Nathan and I have had. Thanks to my friend Sarah for these awesome glasses she gifted us before we left. They really were perfect. They kept all the sand out of our drinks, because you know that is very important.

Each day, when I think it is a little cold and dreary, I look at this picture and think, “It’s all good” and soon enough we will be headed on another adventure!
