Back on November 24, my mom and I participated in “Shop Small Saturday” at some awesome small businesses around the area. I scored a sweet little artificial tree at a local greenhouse, that now lives here on our shelf in the entry way for $15, my mom couldn’t resist either and took one home as well.
I had made the comment that I had really been wanting bright red amaryllis for the center of our dining room table. I was thinking artificial, of course. I am not a green thumb, but I am working on it.
My mom had come across an entire table filled with real white, pink and red amaryllis and she said, “Oh Karen, look!” To make a long story short, it was an early Christmas present from my mother and I have been taking very good care of it. It has been one of the coolest things to watch everyday, waiting for it to bloom. I walk past each day and snap a picture, anticipating the beautiful blossoms. Enjoy the series of pictures. : )
